For Vet Clinics

Symptom-to-Brief Intake

Select the symptoms a pet is showing and get a cited shortlist of breed-relevant conditions worth confirming — grounded decision support, not a diagnosis.

What it does

Free-text histories are noisy and easy to under-capture. This tool lets a clinic (or an intake step) enter observed symptoms — with autocomplete against a controlled vocabulary — and returns a shortlist of conditions that are relevant given those symptoms and the pet's breed, each with a citation. It's a starting brief for the clinician, not an answer.

How it works

  1. Enter symptoms as free text or via autocomplete; entries are mapped onto a known symptom vocabulary.
  2. Add the breed so breed-relevant conditions are weighted.
  3. Get a cited shortlist of conditions to confirm — each traceable to its source.

Grounded, and explicitly not a diagnosis

The shortlist is derived from a cited symptom-to-condition mapping — the tool only picks from known symptoms and conditions and shows its sources. It is framed throughout as decision support to confirm, never as a diagnosis. Clinical judgment stays with the veterinarian.
