Our mission

Pet care decisions — insurance, breed choice, food safety, claim appeals, finding the right vet or trainer — are scattered across dozens of websites, marketing pages, and AI chatbots that frequently hallucinate. Pet owners deserve a single trustworthy place where every recommendation is sourced and explainable.

PawNexus brings every meaningful pet-care decision into one platform, and grounds every answer in deterministic, verifiable data: a curated pet breed manifest, parsed insurance policy documents with citations, and licensed certification registries for veterinarians and trainers.

What PawNexus covers

PawNexus is a comprehensive, all-in-one pet care platform purpose-built for dog and cat owners in the United States. The platform currently includes:

We focus deliberately on dogs and cats in the US so we can do those decisions exceptionally well, rather than spreading thin across species and geographies.

The technology — grounded AI

PawNexus uses large language models (Google Gemini) in combination with a curated PetBreedManifest database. The grounding layer enforces that every recommendation references verifiable data — breed traits come from manifest records, not LLM memory; insurance plan details come from parsed policy documents with page-level citations; vet and trainer listings come from licensed Google Places data merged with certification registries.

This approach is the subject of pending patent applications covering the grounded AI recommendation pipeline, accumulative natural-language state compilation, and deterministic evaluation gating. Learn more about how it works.

Where we are

PawNexus is based in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The team brings together expertise in software architecture, AWS cloud infrastructure, large language model orchestration, and the operational realities of pet insurance and veterinary care.

The platform is available on the web at pawnexus.ai (primary) and petlifeadvisor.ai (legacy domain), and as a native Android app via Google Play.

Advisory and partnerships

PawNexus is guided by a strategic advisory board with deep roots in AI, veterinary care, and pet insurance. We work directly with veterinary clinics, certified trainers, and boarding facilities on a self-serve listing program.
